ABOUT

THE STORY

Based out of Nashville, Tennessee, Charisse Brooks, known as bprods., is an emerging music producer and composer dedicated to crafting music that her audience will fully enjoy. Driven by the fact that every sound matters, her work is all about bringing a precise sound that will meet human emotion and deliver immersive storytelling experiences for film, television, gaming, and recording artists. By using different genres as inspiration, such as hip-hop and classical composition, she builds narrative audio to create atmospheric film cues and emotional yet upbeat compositions.

bprods. graduated Cum Laude, having consistent Dean’s List recognitions, as an Audio Production major from Middle Tennessee State University. Before attending college, she developed her admiration for playing violin as a freshman and played in her high school’s orchestra for three years, later on being a part of MTSU’s concert orchestra as a first violinist. During her college years, she took part in many courses that allowed her to develop experience in a recording studio, where she was able to work as a recording engineer for several class assignments. Her love for music composition became more prominent as she continued taking courses that allowed her to apply her own creativity to her work. Using what she learned, she landed an internship with a recording studio in Nashville, TN, Top Track Studios. This internship brought a lot of interesting experiences and a valuable perspective on the music industry.

Growing up in the Caribbean, she was deemed a shy girl. Although still a work in progress, it wasn’t until she moved to the US, where there was more diversity, that she started becoming more confident in herself. bprods. aspires to be an inspiration to many young children and adults, especially those who come from smaller places in the world, to work towards doing what they dream to become. She is always looking forward to collaborating with others and bringing positive energy to the table.
